Chartres House has an extensive beer menu sporting a wide range of both local and international brews. Below is a list of the possible beers we have in our rotation with an overview and menu pairings. Type – Wheat Ale

Brewery – Parish Brewing Company Broussard, LA
Description – Sweet remnants of sugarcane with notes of honey, spice and citrus on the finish and a beautiful golden honey color. This American wheat style brew is refreshing, crisp and smooth and is brewed with locally-made Steen’s sugarcane syrup.
Menu Pairing – Canebrake complements most any dish, but you’ll love it with our Crawfish Bread or the Crawfish Estrellita

Southern Pecan - Brews

Type – Brown Ale

Brewery – Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company, Kiln, MS
Description – Malty, caramel and nutty flavors with a dark mahogany color. Brewed with roasted pecans, providing a nutty characteristic and a delightful depth of flavor.
Menu Pairing – The Cashew Crusted Redfish is the perfect pairing for Southern Pecan, but we also suggest Portobello Burger or Grilled Portobello Mushrooms Entree

Jefferson Stout - Brews

Type – Sweet Potato Cream Stout

Brewery – Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company Kiln, Mississippi
Description – Appears an opaque black, with light tan colored head with notes of roasted chocolate, coffee and caramel flavors. This Stout is brewed with sweet potatoes and lactose (milk sugar).
Menu Pairing – Light appetizers are great to pair with this heavy brew, but if you’re looking to go all out, pair with a hearty entrée of Red Beans & Rice

LA 31 Biere Pale - Brews

Type – Pale Ale

Description – Bronzed colored with a biscuit malt center, herbal hop flavors and a gentle mellow bitterness. This beer is traditionally brewed with Belgian malts and American hops and yeast for a distinct new style of beer.
